Keeper of The Game Foundation announces Martin as Assistant Director of Development

Martin_KoTGFRISCO, Texas – The Keeper of the Game Foundation (KoTG) announced on Monday, April 20, that it has named Dawn Martin as Assistant Director of Development.
Martin has spent the last 14 years working in the healthcare industry as a marketing manager and most recently in strategic planning and development. Her stops include companies based out of Tennessee, Florida and Texas. She currently oversees marketing efforts for more than 70 hospitals across the country. She also serves on the Parent-Teacher Association boards of Wylie (Texas) ISD and Watkins Elementary.
Martin’s primary responsibilities at KoTG will be to develop fundraising strategies and goals, as well as seeking funds to meet those goals.
“Our foundation is very excited about the addition of Dawn Martin and the leadership she will bring to our development efforts,” KoTG Founder James Vilade said. “Dawn is a community leader with a passion to serve others. Her talents will allow us to do more for our local community, as well as across the country. Her love for the game of baseball and desire to share it with others will allow us to advance our primary focus of serving kids with special needs and disabilities.”
KoTG was founded on Oct. 16, 2014 by Vilade, who coaches for the Frisco RoughRiders and is a scout for the Texas Rangers. The foundation’s mission is to provide athletes with disabilities and special needs unique baseball experiences that foster the growth of those individuals and their love of baseball. KoTG promotes programs that allow these athletes to play, watch and experience baseball at a very personal level. This is all done with a focus on advancing servant leadership.
Martin, a native of Dallas, Texas, is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Bachelor of Arts and Applied Sciences degree with an emphasis in business and computers. In addition to the healthcare field, Martin also has work experience in human resources and communication.
Martin and her husband Ricky, and their daughter Mackenzie and son Tate, reside in Wylie, Texas.
